Ruud van der Lubben (Netherlands)

Ruud van der Lubben has been photographing for many years, at first in the oldfashioned way with film and chemicals, nowadays digitally.
From the beginning of 2006 he has been working as a freelance photographer, based in Almere, The Netherlands, lately also regularly for one of the larger Dutch Newsagency Novum/Reuters having his photography published in most major Dutch newspapers.
Nowadays he also works for a company selling and advising photographic equipment.
Over the years he has slowly changed his main interest into street and travel photography, lecturing and conducting workshops about this subject. For that reason he decided to make a mayor equipment change using compact system camera's. He now uses two Fujifilm XT1 bodies with an array of different lenses.

TESTIMONIAL

For many years I was active in sports and news photography and used DSLR equipment to do so. Since early 2014 the sports - and news photography diminished dramatically. At that time I decided to more concentrate on my first love street photography and it became apparent that a smaller and more agile camera would be in place. After searching and trying several brands, at a certain moment I got my hands on an X-T1 and was instantly sold! All full frame equipment went, and was replaced by two X-T1’s with some good glass. From that time the X-T1’s travelled … France, Italy, Greece, The UK, India, Nepal and Bhutan. I never looked back again.
